Terms of Use.
By using TodoWeekend, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English.
The service
TodoWeekend is a free English-language events directory for Madrid. We aggregate event listings from public municipal and venue sources, score and sort them, and present them on a map and in list views. The plan builder uses Claude (Anthropic) to assemble itineraries from the catalog.
We provide this service as a genuine public good. There's no paywall, no premium tier, and no paid placement — events are ranked by our public scoring algorithm, which you can read about on the Sources page.
Data accuracy — important
Event data (names, dates, times, prices, descriptions, images, venue addresses) comes from third-party sources listed on the Sourcespage. We don't independently verify every listing. Sources can and do contain errors, stale data, cancellations we haven't picked up yet, or last-minute changes.
Always confirm with the venue or official source before you go. Every event page has a link to the original source and to the venue's page when available. Don't blame us if a concert gets moved — we're doing our best but we're a small team and the world is chaotic.
Intellectual property
Event metadata from municipal sources (datos.madrid.es, esMadrid) is licensed under CC-BY 4.0 — we credit Ayuntamiento de Madrid on every event page and on the Sources page.
Our editorial work — the scoring algorithm, the writing, the site design, the curated summaries — is ours. You're free to link to any page on TodoWeekend. If you want to reproduce any of our editorial content or scoring rationale programmatically, email us first.
Event images come from several sources: the original venue websites (used in an editorial context with credit), Pexels stock photos, or AI-generated images for a small number of events. Where images are from a restricted source, we substitute.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Scrape the site programmatically at aggressive rates. If you want our data, email us and we'll likely just share the underlying sources with you.
- Abuse the plan builder with spam, illegal requests, or attempts to extract our prompts.
- Submit newsletter signups for email addresses you don't own.
- Use the site to harvest contact details or conduct other OSINT on venues or people.
We block obvious abuse automatically. If you're doing something that's useful and respectful but at scale, just reach out — we'd rather cooperate than block.
No warranty
TodoWeekend is provided “as is.” We don't guarantee the site will be available, accurate, bug-free, or that any specific event will happen as listed. We don't accept liability for any loss (financial, travel, emotional) caused by relying on information on the site.
If you bought a non-refundable train ticket to see an event that turned out to be cancelled: we're genuinely sorry, but we're not paying for it.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be dated at the top of this page. Continued use of the site means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Madrid, Spain.
